Emily Blunt, Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin return in Sicario 3
The third installment will bring the three actors together around a new script by Steven Knight.
Emily Blunt, Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin return for the upcoming Sicario 3. The film will bring Del Toro back as Alejandro Gillick, Brolin as Matt Graver and Blunt as Agent Kate Macer, a character introduced in Sicario (2015). Black Label Media and Thunder Road have handed directing to Padraic McKinley, while the screenplay will be written by Steven Knight. The new chapter will follow Sicario: Day of the Soldado (2018) by Stefano Sollima and is expected to close the trilogy begun by Denis Villeneuve. The project, delayed by the writers' strike in 2023, is described as “very close” to completion. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed these details.
