Elrond Returns in Season 3 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Played by Robert Aramayo

Season 3 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power brings back Elrond, now played by Robert Aramayo, and his twin brother Elros, future king of Númenor.

The third season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will see the return of Elrond, now portrayed by Robert Aramayo. The character, already present in the first two seasons, was played by Hugo Weaving in Peter Jackson's films. His nature as an immortal elf justifies his presence in a storyline set two thousand years before the movies. This version of Elrond is presented as a half-elf, born of the union of Elwing, a human, and Eärendil, a half-elf. The same episode reveals his twin brother, Elros, who chose a human destiny, lives more than five hundred years and becomes the first king of Númenor. According to AlloCiné, these revelations deepen the link between the series and Tolkien's writings.
