A sequel to Marsupilami considered after 6.1 M admissions
Pathé's president hints the film could spawn new projects.
The film Marsupilami by Philippe Lacheau recorded 6.1 million admissions, the third biggest French hit of 2026. This performance places the feature at the top of the national box office and naturally revives the question of a sequel. When asked about exploiting strong licences, Jérôme Seydoux, president of Pathé, said the company is considering other productions around Marsupilami, the project being planned for the medium or long term. According to AlloCiné, no specific date has been announced yet. Lacheau's crew is already preparing his eleventh film, Somnambule, for February 2027, and the third installment of Alibi.com is set for February 2, 2028.
