Kraken opens strong with over 20,000 admissions
A record start for the horror genre in France in 25 years.

The film relies on an unconventional cast featuring Gazo, La Mano 1.9, Alassane Diong, Guillaume Gouix, Manon Bresch, as well as Mohamed Chabane and Théo Jourdain, regulars of the series ReuSSS and Young Millionaires. Without a mythological monster, the plot unfolds in a dilapidated tower where a virulent antagonist lurks. According to figures provided by the distributor, the total combines 10,523 admissions on the first day and 10,249 spectators at the previews. The communication describes this launch as "record start for a French horror film in more than 25 years".
