J.A. Bayona tipped for the next Jurassic World
Spanish director J.A. Bayona, who helmed Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, is top candidate to direct the sequel Jurassic World Rebirth.

After the departure of Gareth Edwards, cited because of "creative differences", Universal is favoring him for his franchise experience. The studio has not commented on the rumor. Jurassic World Rebirth grossed $869 million last year, driven by Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali and Jonathan Bailey, who are expected to return if their schedules allow. The script would be handed to David Koepp, already the series writer. According to The Hollywood Reporter, formal talks have not yet begun.
