Nicolas Cage denounces the MCU's drift

During a session at the Fan Expo in Dallas, the actor points to the loss of credibility of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Nicolas Cage criticized the evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe during a Q&A session at the Fan Expo in Dallas. He recalled that the MCU started 'in a superb way', with well linked narrative threads, before, in his view, actors aged 50 and over began donning 'ridiculous' costumes for fights that always end up happening. He mentioned his attachment to comics - his son is named Kal-El and his pseudonym pays homage to Luke Cage - as well as his voice role in the Amazon Prime series Spider-Noir, cancelled after one season. According to Ecran Large, he concluded that the MCU has become a 'glorified WWE'.
