Netflix reveals the leads of Icebreaker
Daisy Jelley and newcomer Connor Simos play Anastasia and Nate in the upcoming ice romance.
Netflix has found its Anastasia and Nate for the adaptation of the TikTok sensation Icebreaker. The series, an enemies-to-lovers on ice, begins filming in October 2026 with Daisy Jelley (Geek Girl, How to Have Sex) and newcomer Connor Simos. The project follows the platform’s previous skating dramas - Spinning Out (2020), cancelled after one season, and Finding Her Edge (2025), which was a big hit. Icebreaker is based on the New York Times #1 novel of 2022 by Hannah Grace, known for its explicit sexual content, and builds on the sequels Wildfire (2023) and Daydream (2024). The plot follows competitive skater Anastasia Allen, admitted to the University of California, Maple Hills, whose life is turned upside down by hockey team captain Nathaniel "Nate" Hawkins, while she also has to deal with her controlling ex-partner Aaron.
