Netflix unveils first details of its adaptation of Life Is a Long Quiet River
A modern retelling set near Arcachon, starring Alban Ivanov and Ludivine Sagnier.
Netflix has delivered the first concrete details of its series adaptation of the cult French comedy Life Is a Long Quiet River. The project is neither a reboot nor a sequel, but a more modern retelling of the 1988 film. Alban Ivanov and Ludivine Sagnier play the Groseille parents, while Doria Tillier and Xavier Lacaille portray the bourgeois Le Quesnoy parents. The story moves this time near Arcachon, fourteen years after the baby swap. Mr. Le Quesnoy runs the local hypermarket; patriarch Groseille, still furious union activist, continues his struggles.
