Netflix begins filming adaptation of Life Is A Long Quiet River
Six episodes, new Southwest locations and a 'trial family' premise to reunite the children.
The video this brief is aboutThe filming of the Netflix series inspired by the cult film Life Is A Long Quiet River started this autumn in the Southwest, between Bordeaux and Arcachon. The production, announced this week, plans six episodes and recruited hundreds of extras this summer. The script revisits the original story by adding a 'trial family' device: two opposing families - the Catholic bourgeois Le Quesnoy and the left-wing working-class Groseille - discover that their children were switched at birth fourteen years ago and are forced, by a judge, into a four-month alternating custody. The creators, Estelle Koenig and Julien Teisseire, known for the series Shafted, promise a satire of class struggle. Source: What's on Netflix
