Netflix adds Rooster Fighter in October 2026

Netflix adds the action-comedy series Rooster Fighter on October 10, 2026. Adapted from the manga by Shu Sakuratani published in English by VIZ Media, the single season of 12 episodes won over audiences as early as spring 2026. The story follows Keiji, a rooster armed with sharp feathers, who travels across Japan ravaged by mutant monsters Kiju to avenge his past. The series blends shōnen tropes, kaiju-scale destruction and off-beat animal humor, all in 3D animation by Studio Sanzigen. Daisuke Suzuki serves as director, while Hiroshi Seko, known for Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan, handles composition. The English dub features the voice of Patrick Seitz, and the Japanese cast includes Kenta Miyake, Mariko Honda, Shiori Izawa and others. According to the What's on Netflix site, the release spans the United States and several selected regions.
