Morten Tyldum to direct the next live-action film of The Little Prince
Oscar-winning screenwriter of Slumdog Millionaire, Simon Beaufoy, is working on the script of this ambitious family project.
Trailer · The Little PrinceMorten Tyldum is set to direct the next live-action film of The Little Prince. The large-scale project comes from Aton Soumache, the French producer behind the 2015 animated feature The Little Prince. It was presented at Cannes, came close to $100 million in worldwide box office, and won the César for Best Animated Film as well as the BAFTA Children’s Award for Best Feature. The screenplay, entrusted to Simon Beaufoy, Oscar winner of Slumdog Millionaire, is inspired by the life of aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The film is being developed with Le Petit Prince Group, guardian of the Saint-Exupéry heritage. According to Variety, the production is moving forward with these two major cinema figures.
