The series Soeurs premieres tonight on France 2 with Lola Dewaere in the double role of Astrid and Raphaëlle. Interviewed at the Festival de la fiction de La Rochelle 2026, the actress describes the technical feat that fascinated her. She cites the film Faux-semblants with Jeremy Irons, which marked her as a child, as her first source of inspiration.
In a restaurant scene, the two sisters exchange clothes in the restroom, which requires a rigid posture so that the edit can fuse the images. With her double, they cannot touch; an invisible line separates them, making every gesture delicate. "It was a bit unsettling," Dewaere admits, but adds that thanks to a "formidable" double she eventually found the right nuance.
According to AlloCiné, the series consists of four episodes filled with twists.
