The Great Displacement judged a failure by critics

The Great Displacement, released June 25 in theatres, received a very negative review. Jean-Pascal Zadi, who was awarded the César for Best Male Newcomer in 2021 for Tout simplement noir, returns with an ambitious and highly political science-fiction comedy, starring Reda Kateb, Claudia Tagbo, Fary and Lous and the Yakuza. The film, presented as a fourth, more structured installment than the previous one, is judged a “terrible mistake of judgment”. According to Écran Large, the project fails to rise above the limits of its original format and leaves the viewer with a feeling of incompleteness.
