Jennifer Lawrence headlines Zach Cregger's The Flood
The film blends space exploration with psychological horror, slated for a 2028 release.
Jennifer Lawrence will play the heroine in Zach Cregger's science-fiction film The Flood. The script, written by the director, follows a team of scientists isolated on a space station who discover an alien object capable of altering time, reality and the mind. Described as a cross between 2001: A Space Odyssey and Aliens, the feature is not meant to be a horror movie, even though it contains horrific and unsettling scenes. According to The Hollywood Reporter, filming will begin in Europe in early 2027. The Flood will arrive in French theaters on August 9, 2028.
