Stallone reveals the obsession with body cult for Rocky and Rambo

At 80, Sylvester Stallone confides that his body bears the scars of his transformations for Rocky and Rambo. In the midst of the promotional tour for his autobiography The Steps, he explains that, after the success of those films, he wanted to shape his body "like a jaguar, not massive like Arnold Schwarzenegger, but wilder and more aggressive". He admits he became binge-eating, dropping to 2.6% body fat for Rocky III, to the point where he could no longer keep anything down. Steroids also played a role: he used them "in a reasoned way, six weeks on, six weeks off". According to AlloCiné, he notes that these substances were essential to maintain his level of physical condition.
