Lee Chang-dong's Possible Love selected for AFI Fest 2026

Lee Chang-dong's film Possible Love, winner of the Silver Lion at Venice, is part of the AFI Fest 2026 selection. A total of 157 films will be screened from 21-25 October at the TCL Chinese Theatre, including five red-carpet premieres, 12 special screenings, 13 “luminaries” titles, 18 discoveries, 16 world-cinema works, 17 documentaries, three “after-dark” films, four presentations by the guest artistic director, 45 short films and 24 AFI Conservatory productions presented by AMC Global Media. Other selections include All of a Sudden by Ryûsuke Hamaguchi, Bucking Fastard by Werner Herzog, A Long Winter by Andrew Haigh and The Idiots by Malgorzata Szumowska and Michal Englert.
