Mike P. Nelson Takes the Helm of the Next Saw

The new Saw marks James Wan's return as producer and finally has its director: Mike P. Nelson will be tasked with reviving the series with an eleventh installment presented as a fresh start. The project follows Saw X (2023), which grossed over $125 million at the box office on a $13 million budget. Saw 11 had its planned September 2025 release cancelled after serious conflicts among producers, and the rights were then bought by Blumhouse, recently merged with Atomic Monster. According to Screen Wide, the producers chose to back an emerging horror talent rather than a minor star like Curry Baker.
