The animated spin-off of Stranger Things doesn't make the global top 10

According to What's on Netflix, the new season of the animated spin-off Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 did not enter the weekly global top 10, unlike previous ones. The first season had reached the top 10, stayed two weeks on the English TV list, accumulated 23.9 million hours of viewing and 4.9 million complete views. In the first half of 2026, it totaled 40.4 million hours watched and 8.3 million views, with nearly 60% of the audience finishing the episodes within the first ten days.

After dropping out of the top 10 on May 3, the series added only 3.4 million views over the next two months, according to the same source. In contrast, Stranger Things Seasons 4 and 5 still hold the 3rd and 4th spots in Netflix's most-watched titles ranking, while Season 3 recently left that ranking. The lack of enthusiasm raises questions about the franchise's future, according to What's on Netflix.
