Documentary NAZA receives standing ovation at NYFF
The film NAZA received a standing ovation at its North American premiere at the New York Film Festival.
The documentary NAZA made its North American debut at the New York Film Festival, where it was greeted with a standing ovation. Co-directors Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor then took part in a brief Q&A session with festival director Dennis Lim.
During the discussion, Abraham reminded that the United States funds billions to the Israeli government and provides military aid used against the Palestinian people. He said: "This is what your country supports and funds…", adding that the film aims to make denial of the situation in Gaza more difficult. The audience responded with enthusiastic applause.
