Avengers: Endgame grosses $86 M in its re-release

Avengers: Endgame returned to theaters and generated $86 M at the worldwide box office, including $26 M in North America and $60 M overseas. This new total brings the film to $2.88 M in cumulative revenue, $39 M shy of the record held by Avatar ($2.9 M). Disney and Marvel relaunched the film to prepare for the release of Avengers: Doomsday, scheduled for December, where Robert Downey Jr. appears not as Iron Man but as Doctor Doom. The re-release offers unseen scenes and introduces the "Infinity Vision" format, a certification guaranteeing compliance with strict technical standards. According to Variety, Brad Pitt’s film, Heart of the Beast, opens with $50 M in worldwide revenue.
