According to AlloCiné, in 2018 The Haunting of Hill House aired a dizzying episode made up of only five long takes. Connected sets, timed actors and a moving camera demanded a shoot with no room for error; five massive takes, a month of rehearsals and the slightest mistake forced the whole crew to start over.
The sixth episode, titled Two Storms (or Les Deux Tempêtes in French), brings the Crain family together in Shirley's funeral home on the eve of Nell's funeral. A storm rages outside while accusations, secrets and grudges explode inside, echoing the storm that had torn Hill House years earlier. The series, loosely based on Shirley Jackson's novel, was released on Netflix on October 12 2018, according to AlloCiné.
