Paramount has acquired the adaptation rights to the novel Coffin Moon by Keith Rosson, slated to become a television series. The pitch, described by Écran Large, presents it as a cross between Rambo and a horde of vampires, promising a tone more tragic than the usual action sequels.
The book received praise from Stephen King, who called it "the best modern vampire story" on his social media. According to Écran Large, the plot follows the daily life of a Vietnam veteran haunted, recalling the dramatic depth of the original novel First Blood.
