Melissa Barrera ready to return to Scream if the rights leave Spyglass
The actress says she would return to Scream provided the rights are no longer held by Spyglass.
In an interview with JustWatch, Melissa Barrera said she would be willing to return to the Scream franchise if the rights "were ever to leave" Spyglass. She clarified that her issue is not with the movies themselves, but with the group that currently holds the rights, Spyglass Media Group, co-producer of the saga.
"I love the franchise, I had an amazing time shooting these movies," she recalled. She added that most of the criticism and challenges faced in recent years stem from Spyglass leadership labeling her in a way that doesn't match reality, never offering an apology even when it was proven right.
