La Gradiva wins Best Film award at Queer Lisboa 2026
Marine Atlan's debut feature La Gradiva took Best Film and Audience awards at the 30th Queer Lisboa.
The 30th edition of Queer Lisboa, Portugal's largest queer festival, welcomed over 11,500 spectators. The French film La Gradiva, Marine Atlan's first feature, won the Best Film prize as well as the Audience Award. This portrait of a generation searching for identity follows a group of French students on a school trip to Pompeii, guided by a passionate professor who wants to pass on history and culture.
The same film had already been honored at Cannes Critics' Week. At the same festival, the Spanish documentary Up and Running by Lorena Ros won the Best Documentary prize and the Audience Award, offering a look at the marginalisation of incarcerated trans people in Barcelona.
