Black Doves season 2: trailer unveiled

Netflix has released the trailer for season 2 of Black Doves, a spy series led by Keira Knightley. The show, created by Joe Barton, gave the actress her first leading TV role and revived her connection to spy thrillers after The Ryan Initiative (2014) and Official Secrets (2019). The success of the first season led Netflix to renew it.

In the new season, Keira Knightley returns as Helen Webb, an operative of the private organization Black Doves, while Ben Whishaw returns as Sam Young, the agent tasked with protecting her. The trailer shows that the situation has changed dramatically since the first season, where Helen, apparently the wife of the Secretary of Defense, was actually Daisy Bradshaw, an MI5 undercover agent involved in the murder of her former lover Jason Davies (Andrew Koji).
