Friday, Avengers: Endgame reached the #1 spot at the North American box office with $11.2 M collected from 3 060 screens. The 2019 film, re-issued ahead of the highly anticipated release of Avengers: Doomsday on December 18, tops the chart.
Projections indicate a total of about $26 M by Sunday. When it first opened, Avengers: Endgame was the second-most profitable film ever, with $2 799 M worldwide, behind Avatar ($2.9 M).
A24 placed its drama-thriller Primetime in second place, with $8.49 M from 2 874 theaters. Weekend estimates put it at $20.5 M.
