Netflix unveils its Japanese lineup for 2027

Netflix is preparing a strong selection of Japanese dramas for 2027. On the slate is the brand-new series From NEET to Peak, which follows Kanta Kakuhata, a shut-in forced to leave his home after his mother's terminal diagnosis and who is set to marry top idol Mami Hamamiya. The long-awaited sequel to the horror manga Parasyte, starring Kutsuna Shioli in the lead role, is also arriving, as is a new installment of the cult film City Hunter.

Fans can also look forward to season 2 of Last Samurai Standing, Tokyo Swindlers, Sanctuary and Yu Yu Hakusho. Wataru Ichinose returns in a second lead role after Sanctuary, while Suzu Hirose confirms her success on the platform with Human Vapor and Asura. This lineup is not exhaustive - additional titles will be announced by the end of 2026 and throughout 2027.
