Greta Gerwig's Narnia: New Exclusive Images Before the Trailer
Never-before-seen images from the The Magician's Nephew reboot, featuring Daniel Craig and Carey Mulligan.
Netflix is preparing a new Narnia saga, directed by Greta Gerwig after the success of Barbie. The reboot, subtitled The Magician's Nephew, aims to bring C.S. Lewis's universe back into popular culture. The first images, published in the latest issue of Empire and shared by World of Reel, show the real world and the creation of Narnia.
It features Daniel Craig as Andrew Ketterley, who tries to open a passage to the parallel universe, and Carey Mulligan as Mabel Kirke, inspired by the writer's mother. Emma Mackey also appears among the expected cast.
The first film of the series, released in 2005, was a great success, but its sequels did not prove to be reliable, notably because of very high budgets (225 million dollars for Prince Caspian). This new version hopes to change the game.
