Filming for Heat 2 begins in November and, according to The Wrap, Ebon Moss-Bachrach is in the final negotiation phase to join the film. The actor, known for his role in The Bear, is expected to portray Kelso, an Inca character, under the camera of Michael Mann.
According to Écran Large, the cast is already expanding around Leonardo DiCaprio with names like Christian Bale, Adam Driver and Stephen Graham, even though their official confirmations are still pending. Michael Mann is banking on this high-profile reinforcement to breathe new life into the saga.
The director, whose last two films Ferrari ($43.6 M box office on a $95 M budget) and Hacker ($19.7 M on $70 M) disappointed at the box office, hopes that the return of Heat and this new cast will reverse the trend.
