Tom Cruise speeds up the makeup for Digger
Tom Cruise explains how he tried to cut down the six-hour makeup for his role in Digger.
The film Digger, a black comedy by Alejandro G. Iñárritu, sees Tom Cruise playing an unrecognizable character. The release is scheduled for October 2.
During an episode of the New Heights podcast hosted by Travis and Jason Kelce, the actor revealed that the initial makeup and prosthetics session lasted six hours. His packed shooting schedule and need for sleep drove him to look for a faster method.
He then set up a blackboard and asked an assistant to time each step with a stopwatch. "I put a guy with a stopwatch, and I'm like…," he explained, emphasizing the goal of cutting down the application time.
