Season 6 of Slow Horses available, Gary Oldman improvises
According to AlloCiné, Season 6 of Slow Horses is now on Apple TV and actors, including Gary Oldman, can improvise dialogue.
According to AlloCiné, Season 6 of Slow Horses has been online on Apple TV since Wednesday 16 September 2026. The spy series, nominated for Emmy Awards and adapted from Mick Herron's novels, returns with the same cast.
In an interview with Diverto, Gary Oldman explains that the dialogue isn’t always set in stone. “We communicate a lot with each other. We can also come up with things on the same day and improvise,” he says, noting that actors can suggest, tweak a line or imagine a new reaction.
After five years playing Jackson Lamb, the actor knows the character inside out, as do Jack Lowden (River Cartwright), Kristin Scott Thomas (Diana Taverner) or Saskia Reeves (Catherine Standish). The more they play, the more they get into his vocabulary and have fun with the script, according to AlloCiné.
