Alan Ritchson explains the cancellation of a season of ‘Reacher’
The actor said the season planned around the novel Die Trying was halted after a re-election.
Actor-producer Alan Ritchson replied to a fan on Threads who lamented the lack of a Reacher season adapted from the 1998 novel Die Trying. He reminded that each season of the Prime Video series is based on a different book from Lee Child’s Jack Reacher saga.
Ritchson said his favourite book had been approved, but the project was dropped “after someone was re-elected”. He didn’t name the person, but he is known for his recurring criticisms of Donald Trump.
Thus, the season that would have pitted Reacher against a white-supremacist militia camp remains on hold, leaving fans hoping for a future return.
