Raised in Honolulu after moving there as an infant, Callies discovered acting in school productions at Punahou and later earned a drama BA from Dartmouth College in 1999, followed by an MFA from the National Theatre Conservatory in 2002. After relocating to New York in 2003, she landed a recurring role on CBS’s Queens Supreme and guest spots on Law & Order: SVU, Dragnet and NUMB3RS.
