Emerging from a Roman family with Calabrian roots, he honed his craft in the Torre Spaccata drama laboratory before joining the underground theatre scene as both performer and playwright. His first screenwriting credit arrived in 2000 with the TV movie Non ho l'età, and he later contributed to the successful teen comedy Notte prima degli esami in 2006.
