Emerging from Bologna’s Teatro “Alessandra Galante Garrone,” she entered the professional world with a 1981 stage debut in Macbeth and quickly built a reputation through productions such as an Italian rendition of The Merchant of Venice (1984), Sorelle Materassi (1988), Medea (1994) and the long-running comedy Prova orale per membri esterni (1995), which toured Italy for six seasons.
