Born in Daegu, he debuted on stage in 2003’s Romeo and Juliet and spent a decade performing in Seoul’s Daehangno theater district, appearing in productions such as Liar. After studying theater and film at Gaya University, he left school, married in 2010, and continued theater work until his 2012 film transition.
