Hailing from Milbridge, Maine, she entered the public eye as Miss Maine Teen USA in 1995 and placed as first-runner-up at Miss Teen USA the same year, before completing high school in Harrington and spending two years at Boston University’s School of Communications. A move to Los Angeles to pursue acting led her to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York for further training.
