Maximilian Josef Sommer (born June 26, 1934) is a German-American retired stage, film and television actor.
Sommer was born in Greifswald, Germany, from which he and his parents, Elisabeth and Clemens Sommer, a professor of art history at the University of North Carolina, emigrated in 1938 with his sister.
