Born in Glasgow and raised in Edinburgh’s Inverleith, Mavor moved to La Rochelle at nine, studied at Collège Eugène Fromentin, then returned to Scotland for Mary Erskine School and joined the National Youth Theatre in 2008; she also sang mezzo-soprano with the National Youth Choir of Scotland.
