Emerging from a theatrical lineage in Torreón-his parents Alejandro Bichir and Maricruz Nájera were actors, and his brothers Odiseo and Bruno followed the same path-he honed his craft with the National Theater Company, performed works by Shakespeare and Dostoyevsky, and contributed to the Mexican Association of Theater Critics before studying at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
