Born in Detroit and raised in Brooklyn, he entered the performing arts as a child, attending New York Lab School before moving into professional work. Early screen appearances included the 1994 family film Lassie and subsequent roles in Boys and Fathers’ Day, while his stage experience grew through productions such as Minor Demons, Old Money and a Broadway debut in On the Waterfront.
