Mickey Rourke est un acteur, scénariste et boxeur américain né le 16 septembre 1952 à Schenectady.
Élève à l'Actors Studio, il fait ses débuts au cinéma en 1978. Après un second rôle remarqué dans Rusty James, en 1983, Michael Cimino lui confie son premier rôle principal dans L'Année du dragon.
