Studying in Rome, Mark Eliot receives a letter from his sister Rose before she disappears. On the scene, in New York, not far from Central Park, the young man discovers a massive building, riddled with secret passages. He explores it in search of clues leading to the missing woman. While everyone they come into contact with, directly or indirectly, dies in abominable circumstances, Mark discovers that a supernatural force inhabits this place, laden with stories one would hardly dare believe are real...
